SAP SuccessFactors Mobile collects and processes your personal information for the following purposes: It provides functions and features similar to the Cloud Service. SAP SuccessFactors Mobile connects to the Cloud Service. SAP provides SAP SuccessFactors Mobile so that you can access the Cloud Service from your mobile device as long as you remain a user authorized by your company to access the Cloud Service. The categories of the Personal Information you collect or derived within the Cloud Service depend , in part, on the Cloud Service to which your company has subscribed and the manner in which your company has configured the Cloud Service. Should you have any questions about how your Personal Information is processed by the Cloud Service, please contact your company. If you have any questions about how cloud services handle your personal information, please contact your company. 1. Authentication. When you log in on SAP SuccessFactors Mobile, SAP SuccessFactors Mobile collects your username ID and related password information for user authentication purposes before permitting you to access the services of SAP SuccessFactors Mobile. If you do not provide such information, SAP SuccessFactors Mobile cannot authenticate you, and without authentication , you cannot access the services of SAP SuccessFactors Mobile . 2. Bookmark Feature. SAP SuccessFactors Mobile introduces a bookmark feature designed to enhance your user experience. This feature collects directly with your behavioral information. Based on the items, topics, or services you've bookmarked, the app actively pushes personalized information to you. This ensures that the content you receive is tailored to your interests, making your app experience more engaging and personalized. 3. Data analyses. SAP may create analyses utilizing, in part, information derived from your Personal Information and your use of SAP SuccessFactors Mobile as explained herein . Analyses will anonymize such information. Analyses may be used for the following purposes: (i) product improvement (in particular, product...)3. Data Analysis. SAP can, to some extent, use your personal information and the information generated by your use of SAP SuccessFactors Mobile to create analytical reports. These reports will be anonymous. The analytical reports can be used for the following purposes: (i) product improvement (especially product features, workflows, and user interfaces) and the development of new products and services; (ii) improving resource allocation and support; (iii) internal demand planning , and anonymous benchmarking. 4. Survey/Feedback: If SAP asks you to participate in a survey and provide feedback, SAP will generate and place a random ID on your mobile device. This ID will be stored on your mobile device as long as you use the SAP SuccessFactors Mobile App and signals to SAP that your mobile device has already participated in a given survey and/or prevents that this mobile device and therefore you will be presented with the same survey more than once or at too short intervals. Furthermore, together with the responses to the surveys, SAP will collect certain technical information about your mobile device such as the mobile device type or its operating system which will help SAP to interpret your feedback. If you do not want to participate in the survey and provide feedback , you can decline to participate at any time. 4. Survey/Feedback: If SAP asks you to participate in a survey and provide feedback, SAP will generate and place a random ID on your mobile device. This ID will be stored on your mobile device whenever you use SAP's SuccessFactors Mobile application, indicating to SAP that your device has participated in a specific survey and/or preventing your device from being used for the same survey multiple times in a short period. In addition, SAP will collect certain technical information about your mobile device along with your survey responses, such as the device type or its operating system, which will help SAP interpret your feedback. You can choose not to participate in the survey and provide feedback at any time. II. How does SAP use cookies or other third-party tracking technologies? 1. The SAP SuccessFactors Mobile App does not generate any cookies itself. However, if you visit a (hybrid) website via the SAP SuccessFactors Mobile App , SAP may store cookies on your mobile device to facilitate your access and ensure the operation of all technical features of the website.When you access the (hybrid) website via the mobile app, SAP may store cookies on your mobile device to facilitate your access and ensure the proper functioning of all website technical features. Cookies are small data files placed on your mobile device when you access a website and send information to the party that placed them (SAP). A cookie typically contains an identifier and some numbers and characters. Cookies allow the SAP SuccessFactors Mobile App to temporarily store your personal information, such as your log-in information or preterences. These cookies are essential, required to enable core website functionality, and you cannot opt out. We will not use cookies for purposes other than those stated in this Privacy Statement. You acknowledge that SAP could process your Personal without the need to obtain your consent: • The processing is necessary for entering into or performing a contract to which you are a party;Processing may be necessary for the purpose of entering into or performing a contract in which you are a party; • Necessary for fulfilling legal duties and obligations to which SAP is subject ; • Necessary for responding to public health incidents or to protect the vital interests of natural persons; • Necessary for news reporting and media supervision for the purpose of protecting public interest and within a reasonable scope; • The processing of Personal Information that you have voluntarily disclosed or that has been legally disclosed, within a reasonable scope; or • Other situations provided by applicable laws and regulations. SAP has employed security measures complying with industry standards to protect the personal information SAP collects and processes via SAP SuccessFactors Mobile, to prevent unauthorized access, public disclosure, use, modification, damage, or loss. SAP will adopt reasonable measures to protect your personal information. For example, SAP has used a trusted protection mechanism to protect such personal information from attacks and we deploy an access control mechanism to ensure only authorized persons can access such personal information. SAP may perform encryption (e.g., SSL) and anonymization . SAP also uses the protection mechanisms offered by the mobile operating system inside the application’s sandbox environment. SAP may also adopt reasonable measures to ensure irrelevant personal data is not collected. For example, SAP uses trusted protection mechanisms to prevent such personal information from being maliciously attacked; SAP deploys access control mechanisms to ensure that only authorized personnel can access such personal information. SAP may implement encryption (such as SSL) and anonymization. SAP also utilizes the protection mechanisms provided by mobile operating systems in the application sandbox environment. SAP may also take reasonable measures to ensure that irrelevant personal information is not collected. SAP only keeps your Personal Information within the minimum period required for fulfilling the purposes stated in this Privacy Statement , unless an extension is required or permitted by applicable law . 3.SAP has put in place measures to protect your Personal Information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access. SAP will keep your Personal Information secure using reasonable security measures as appropriate, for example, encryption (eg, SSL) and anonymization. SAP use the protection mechanisms offered by the mobile operating system inside the application's sandbox environment. Your Personal Information is also protected by application-level encryption based on 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) or better method. Further, SAP may make certain optional security measures available to your Company for managing the [SAPSAP SuccessFactors Mobile, which your company can deploy at its end, includes features such as single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, and other mobile device management security features. SAP will continue to improve the technical measures to protect your Personal Information collected by SAP SuccessFactors Mobile. SAP has taken appropriate measures to prevent the loss, misuse, or unauthorized access of your personal information. SAP will employ appropriate security measures, such as encryption technologies (e.g., SSL) and anonymity technologies, to ensure the security of your personal information. In addition to applying the protection mechanisms provided by the mobile operating system in the application's runtime environment , your personal information will also be protected by application- level encryption based on 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) or better. Furthermore, SAP may provide your company with optional security measures to help manage SAP SuccessFactors Mobile, such as single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, and other mobile device management security features. SAP will continuously optimize its technical measures to protect the personal information collected by SAP SuccessFactors Mobile. In the event of a Personal Information security breach, SAP will notify you as required by applicable laws and regulations. SAP will cooperate with your company to notify the affected users and handle the event. Personal Information security breaches caused by the [Cloud Service] are not subject to this Privacy Statement. Personal Information Security Breaches Caused by the [Cloud Service] will be handled according to the privacy statement of the [Cloud Service]. VI. How Can You Exercise Your Right to Protect Personal Information ? In accordance with applicable laws and regulations, you are guaranteed certain rights to your Personal Information . With respect to the Personal Information under our control, you may contact SAP at privacy@sap.com should you have any questions or concerns regarding such Personal Information. To the extent that SAP has retained such information with an identifier that can be connected to you, you have the following rights. You have the right to access or request a copy of your Personal Information under our control, except for the exceptions specified in applicable laws and regulations. If you wish to exercise the right to access or request a copy of your Personal Information, you may contact SAP at privacy@sap.com . As the types of Personal Information that SAP collects is very limited, if you discover errors in your Personal Information under SAP's control, you have the right to require SAP to make the correction. (3) Deleting your Personal Information In the following cases, you may send a request to privacy@sap.com to delete your Personal Information under SAP’s control: 1. If SAP's behavior in processing your Personal Information violates applicable laws or regulations; 2. If SAP's behavior in processing your Personal Information violates our agreement with you; 3. If you desist from the use of the [SAP SuccessFactors Mobile], or you cancel the account; 4. If SAP desists from providing the [SAP SuccessFactors Mobile] to you , or the retention period has expired. If you request deletion, while the retention period provided by any law or administrative rules has not expired, or it is difficult to realize the deletion of Personal Information technically, SAP will cease the processing of Personal Information except for storing and taking necessary security protection measures for such information. If SAP agrees to your deletion request, SAP will also inform the entities which have obtained such Personal Information from SAP to delete such Personal Information without delay, unless otherwise specified in laws and regulations, or these entities have obtained your separate authorization. (4) Right to Stop or Restrict Processing You can request SAP to stop or restrict your Personal Information from further processing in certain circumstances . (5) Right to ObjectRight to Withdraw Consent : You can request not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing. (6) Right to Withdraw Consent: Wherever SAP is processing your Personal Information based on your consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time. After your withdrawal, you can log out of [SAP SuccessFactors Mobile] at any time. Upon logging out of [SAP SuccessFactors Mobile], [SAP SuccessFactors Mobile] will not store or process any of your Personal Information on your mobile device. In case SAP is required to retain your Personal Information for legal reasons, your Personal Information will be restricted from further processing and only retained for the term allowed by law. However, any withdrawal has no effect on past processing of Personal Information by SAP up to the point in time of your withdrawal . If SAP needs to retain your personal information for legal reasons, your personal information will be restricted from further processing and will only be retained for the period permitted by law. However, any withdrawal will not affect SAP's processing of your personal information before your withdrawal. (7) Cancel your Account Please note that the [SAP SuccessFactors Mobile] is used to allow you to access and use the [Cloud Service] through your mobile device. You can log out of [SAP SuccessFactors Mobile] at any time. Upon logging out of [SAP SuccessFactors Mobile], [SAP SuccessFactors Mobile] will not store any of your Personal Information on your mobile device . If you request to cancel your account on the Cloud Service, please contact your Company to cancel it, because your Company controls the Cloud Service. Please note that you will not be able to access and use the [Cloud Service] after the cancellation of your account . After logging out, SAP SuccessFactors Mobile will not store any of your personal information on your mobile device. If you wish to cancel your account, please contact your company for deletion, as the cloud service is controlled by your company. Please note that if you cancel your account, you will no longer be able to access and use the cloud service. (8) Right to Lodge a Complaint If you take the view that SAP is not processing your Personal Information in accordance with the requirements in this Privacy Statement or under applicable data protection laws, you can at any time, to the extent required by applicable law , lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority. (9) Responding to Your Above Requests Please submit your request in writing. To ensure security, SAP may need to verify your identity before processing.SAP will reply to your request within 15 working days after verifying your identity. If you have any concerns, you may contact SAP at privacy@sap.com . Please submit your request in writing. For security reasons, SAP may require you to verify your identity before processing your request. SAP will respond within 15 working days after you complete identity verification. If you have any concerns, please contact SAP at privacy@sap.com. Generally, SAP will not charge fees to process any reasonable request. However, if you submit the same request frequently or your request exceeds a reasonable extent, SAP may charge a fee based on our processing costs as SAP may reasonably determine. Where the requests are repeated without good reasons, or require too many technical measures (e.g., a new system is needed or current practice will be fundamentally changed), or put others' legitimate rights and interests at risk, or are very impractical (e.g., require a backup of the Personal Information stored in the tape), SAP reserves the right to reject such requests . However, for repeated requests that exceed reasonable limits, SAP will charge a reasonable fee based on processing costs. SAP reserves the right to refuse requests that are unjustifiably repeated, require excessive technical means (e.g., requiring the development of a new system or fundamental changes to existing practices), pose a risk to the legitimate rights and interests of others , or are highly impractical (e.g., requests to store personal information on magnetic tape backups). In the following cases , in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, SAP is unable to accommodate your request: 1. Directly related to national security and national defense security; 2. Directly related to public security, public health, and major public interests ; 3. Directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial, and enforcement of judgments ; 4. You represent and warrant that you are an adult and not a child and you will not transmit Personal Information of any child through the [SAP SuccessFactors Mobile] without the explicit consent of the child's parents or guardians. Where is your personal information stored and how is it transferred globally ? Your personal information will be stored within China (for the purpose of this Privacy Statement only, China refers to the mainland of China and does not include Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, and Taiwan region). However, as SAP may provide products or services via servers and resources located worldwide, your personal information may be transferred to jurisdictions outside China. Such jurisdictions may have different data protection laws or have no such laws. However, for your personal information under our control , SAP will ensure that such personal information will have no less protection than under the laws protecting personal information in China. Survey / Feedback: Getting User Feedback on the SAP SuccessFactors Mobile App. When a user is asked to participate in the Survey and provide feedback on the SAP SuccessFactors Mobile App : User ID , Survey ID , mobile device type and its operating system , timestamp of the Survey participation , application of the Survey participation, and feedback .
